Let me start by saying that diner food is my favorite. I decided to try Tangies given its status as a mom and pop diner. I ordered the French Toast Special and a side of scones. All the flavors were perfect--the sausage was cooked perfectly, the eggs were very flavorful, and as others have mentioned, the blackberry syrup is delicious! The French toast was a little soft to my taste, but again, the taste was there. Scones were hot and fresh with a little crispness. Best I've found in the area. We were tired of the usual breakfast restaurants that we had been visiting and so we tried this local favorite. We found the service and food wonderful. The place itself seemed like it could use some upkeep. My seat by the window had a frigid draft that kept me cold through our entire visit. We had some simple breakfast items and they were served comparable to the busyness of the restaurant that day - it was pretty packed. My hashbrowns could have been cooked a little more, but the rest of the dish was delicious. My wife's was also wonderful and I think we will be back. It was a delightful loc
