While the restaurant's name conjures images of vibrant, authentic Mexican cuisine, the reality was a rather bland and uninspired affair. The ambiance was...fine. Standard booths, generic Mexican-themed decor, and music that seemed to be playing from a 'Mexican Fiesta Hits' playlist on repeat. Nothing offensive, but nothing memorable either. As for the food, it was a masterclass in mediocrity. The salsa tasted suspiciously like it came from a jar, the guacamole was pale and lacked any real avocado flavor, and the 'carne asada' was a good quality cut but lacking flavor. Taco grande... More like Taco Blande. Just got a breakfast burrito and a breakfast quesadilla (with egg, chorizo and potato) at the farmers market stand. Both were basically all bean with almost no discernable chorizo. Next majority ingredient was potato. It was chorizo flavored beans I guess? They had a container with green salsa on the table, it was super watery. Overall, very disappointing. There are a lot better breakfast burritos within walking distance!

Febrero 3, 2024 Surfsontrees and I walked to El Taco 🌮 Grande for the first time to enjoy a rewarding meal 🍽️ after a good exercise. As soon as you enter there is a cool tequila bar where you will meet with your waiter to guide you to your seat into their beautiful art and culture inspired atmosphere. I especially fell in love with their chairs 🪑 because each one was different. The food was fire 🔥 fuego delicious 🤤 major appreciation to the chef who created two massive burritos 🌯 which definitely gave us a lot for left overs. The diablo 😈 burrito 🌯 hawt hawt hawt but dang great meal.
