Had a great dinner out at 29 markle! Service was warm and felt like a real team effort. The brussel sprout appetizer was generously portioned and delicious, and our entree choices of crab pesto pasta and shrimp & grits were both delicious. We decided to take some of the entrees home to enjoy the next day and finished things off with the apple tart dessert, also delicious, with a crust that left a nice gingerbread flavor lingering. With it's amazing, unique food and cozy decor, I almost loved this restaurant. Unfortunately, service was a huge challenge. Upon arrival, we had to wait an additional 30 minutes for our table. It was another long delay before the waiter took our order and three requests to get water. When our entrees finally landed, 1/2 of us had no plates or silverware and we all sat there for five minutes watching our food get cold till I finally got up and asked for it. What an awesome place in the Heart of Downtown Bpt. The service, atmosphere and food was excellent. You can tell they use the freshest ingredients and it makes sense with the seasonal menu. My palette was dancing with joy with every bite that I took. I usually eat very quick and for the first time in a longtime I ate slowly and savored every bite. One of the managers touched base at the end of the night to ensure that we were satisfied, what a classy touch.
