Louise, Lindi, and I went to 350 First , atop the DoubleTree by Hilton Cedar Rapids Convention Complex in the heart of downtown. Their Restaurant Week offerings are: Citrus & Burrata Salad – with Blood orange, burrata, shaved fennel, pistachio and a honey – champagne vinaigrette Crab & Avocado Stack – Lump crab, lemon aioli, heirloom tomato cucumber and cilantro Pan-Seared Scallops with sweet corn puree, bacon lardons, smoked scallion oil and arugula All sounded delicious, but we decided on two from the special menu, the Citrus & Burrata Salad and the Pan-Seared Scallops. This has been one of our favorite places to go for events since we moved here Here's my honest review: ✨Location✨ Smack dab in the middle of downtown Cedar rapids. I personally hate that you have to pay for parking but I can't deny it's a great location. So we usually Uber ✨Price✨ I think they're specials are always so amazingly priced. We didn't have a kitchen for Thanksgiving so we went here. I love that my husband was able to get a turkey dinner while I was able to get a burger since I'm not a fan of Thanksgiving food. Slowest service in town. Took my wife for her birthday. Waited an hour and a half for a warm overcooked steak. Waited 15 minutes for a beer twice. Was tired by the time we left. Disappointing to say the least, then the waitress tried to overcharge us for our meal. Ordered surf and turf. Steak came out after an hour and 15 minutes. 15 minutes later the shrimp came out. Listened to the guy behind us get mad and left before he got his food. Table beside us was filthy with dirty dishes the entire time we were there for 2 hours. We got there at 930pm after a dance competition in the hotel. Figured

Unexpected roof top bar in this hotel. I came in for dinner after my flight and was able to find a nice spot of my choosing by the window for the views. Picked out this pork belly dish just as a little snack before bed. It was pretty decent bar food, flavorful, albeit a little on the salty end. It might’ve been better had I ordered something else to pair it with. Staff were friendly and it was an easy quick meal. I saw there were quite a few groups of business folks up here late at night talking shop as well. Seemed like a good spot to knock a few back.
