Visited Charleston for a few days and popped into Rudy Royale for dinner. We were not disappointed!!! Tyler our host was amazing (he was from New Orleans). I had the tempura flounder and my friend the fried chicken sandwich, both were great but what topped it off was the Honeysuckle Lavendar Martini…..I highly recommend

Nice place, pretty inside with great light, we were sat right away around 3:30pm on a Saturday, they were not busy, we did have to wait a little while for our server to finally great us but he was pleasant once he did. We started with the tuna ceviche and the warm crab dip, the ceviche had too many raw onions chunks for me but I was able to pick them out, the sauce and tuna had a great flavor, the warm crab dip definitely needs more crab, it was very heavy on the cream cheese with very little crab but the flavor was good and the bread that came with it was fresh. I recently visited Ruby Royal downtown after seeing it on TikTok, and while the drinks definitely lived up to the hype, the food unfortunately did not. The sangria and Princess Peach cocktails were really good — easily the highlight of the experience. The oysters were okay, but I had to add hot sauce, salt, and pepper to really enjoy them. My boyfriend ordered the flounder and rated it a 6/10 — crispy, but lacking seasoning. I had the chicken tenders, and honestly… I was really disappointed. They were extremely hot and overcooked, almost burnt, but somehow still had no real flavor. It’s hard
