Pulled pork sandwhich with slaw on top: for the meat, it has a nice smoke flavor to it and is oiled and juicy. The slaw is actually perfect, hands down the best one I have found so far. It is true southern slaw and not that gross vinegar base. It’s almost like they used liquid smoke flavoring in it. Definitely recommend the hickory bbq sauce to cut through that oily texture and flavor. Honestly the oils were a bit overwhelming to me, halfway through the sandwich I had to put it down. I had the ribs and coleslaw. Half rack was a good portion, lots of meat on the bones. Perfectly smoked and tender. The “hogback gold” sauce was everything I expect from a Carolina gold sauce. The coleslaw was also good, a little more on the creamy side than I usually like, but it balanced out the tangy sauce. I’m glad I ignored the few bad reviews. Happy to have found another good local bbq joint! I’ll be back!

I came all the way up here from Colorado Springs to try the food! I’ve had brisket and pork and all the normal bbq things 1000 times but something about the smoke flavor made these guys stand out! I also tried the mouth watering burger and it was cooked perfectly but my number one was the wings! So good with the gold bbq sauce and the fries that are fresh cut were delicious!! The ranch was also to die for!

This is the first time I have ordered from this restaurant. I am definitely glad that I chose this one for barbecue. It was absolutely amazing. Fresh pulled pork sandwich was so good included macaroni and cheese and beans and of course, the fried okra and to top it off peach cobbler. I am a southern girl and this definitely hit 5+ stars.
