Hard Eight BBQ turned an unexpected overnight stay in Dallas into a memorable meal. Our flight was delayed and we needed somewhere close to the airport, and this place was exactly what we were hoping for. We sampled several items from the pit, including the brisket, ribs, turkey, jalapeño cheese sausage, and the bacon-wrapped shrimp and chicken. Truly a 5 star experience. Austin first greeted us and asked if we had any questions. The meat is ordered by weight/ however much you want. They have 2 cutters on two lines that take your order of what you want, then you go inside and grab other sides. The banana pudding and corn are a must, truly the best banana pudding I’ve ever had. The chicken was delicious too. The brisket is so soft and juicy. Truly falls apart. I could not recommend this place enough. There is indoor and outdoor seating with so much helpful staff that grab your dirty trays and clean as they go. The bathroom was clean.

Are you in TX near DFW? Looking for BBQ? There are so many BBQ restaurants in the area. Hard 8 was recommended and I have them a shot. Never been here therefore did not know what to expect. Went here for dinner and the line was long but the line moved fast. You get on line and order your food than pay than find a table. No issues on finding a table. The protein is sold by the pound if you are wondering. I tried the ribs, brisket, spicy sausage, coleslaw, jalapeño poppers, beans and apple cobler. All very good and served dry (no BBQ on protein). Great food and a lovely family friendly atmosphere. It started with a long line, but that line moves quickly. Grab any choice of meat, which is the hardest part because of all it looked SO GOOD. Then, you can grab sides of your choice. The meat was delicious, especially the sausages. I would recommended fried okra as a side. It was a huge hit with my family. The environment was very friendly and felt like a giant community.
