My wife immediately knew the story and the decor. I had no idea. Our waitress provided the story book and I read it while we were waiting for food. Such a great theme for a spot. Service was great. Food was lovely. Apple Bacon half of the pizza was a hit! Hanky Panky was left as an appetizer. I recommend.

We are from Indianapolis & came for a Reds game. We were hungry & thirsty. I ordered the 3 Billy Goats sandwich & an expresso Martini.😋😋 I really liked it. I've never had a sandwich like that.😋 We chose to come to The Gruff because it was a close walk from Embassy Suites. Our waitress was the bomb.com! Her name is Abii!! She gave awesome customer service! Giving us places to go after we got done there. She is COOL BEANS!!!! My first visit here. Overall we loved the vibe and feel of the place. I liked that there is a place for everyone. Large group dinner, yes, family dinner, yes, small friends dinner, yes. Watching sports? Plenty of space and local beers if you drink. I personally had the pickle fries and chicken sandwich. Both were great. Friendly staff, plus many options for every type of diet. I could be wrong, but it seemed like a lot of house made or local ingredients. In the area, give this place a try. Only issue is parking, but there is available parking in the area. We came to visit from Columbus and wanted to find a place we couldn’t back home and truly I couldn’t be happier that I chose this place. The service was wonderful, the server answered our questions and went above and beyond to give us a good experience. I wish I remembered her name so I could give her a shout out! Not only that but the food was AMAZING. We got half Brussels sprout pizza half Bacon and apple(substituted blue cheese with goat cheese on that half) and a burger with the pickle fries as a side, and it was soooooo good.
