Food here is still pretty alright. I accept that part of this poor delivery is on the driver from Doordash. Based on responses to other reviews, I expect if there is a response, that it will be unprofessional and defensive. Smothered burritos, beans etc, all packaged and delivered on their sides. Doordash driver should not have just transported by the handle, but maybe this Tamale Kitchen shouldn’t be utilizing Doordash if they aren’t advanced enough to do so successfully. I am a huge fan of the food at Tamale Kitchen, and when the craving hits we have to satisfy the craving. However, my family and I went in this evening and from the moment we approached the door the gal cleaning the window made us feel like an inconvenience. Once we were acknowledged (not with hello), and the entry cleared we approached the window to order. I asked for a few waters and were given cups without lids (even for my 2 young toddlers). Definitely a don't-judge-a-book-by-its-cover joint. Simple, but very solid breakfast breakfast burritos (pro tip: GET IT SMOTHERED), right in the Safeway plaza (never go to the grocery store hungry).

This location used to be really good, but the food quality has slowly declined over time. The past two times I have come here for a smothered beef and bean burrito, a chicken breakfast burrito, tamales, and a shredded beef breakfast burrito. The smothered burrito seemed like the ground beef was old and over salted. The shredded beef burrito was dry and also seemed old and the chicken breakfast burrito was the same and the tamales were dry but "okay" taste I guess. On top of that, there was hardly any chile inside of the breakfast burritos the last 3 times ive came, so maybe thats where the dry
