The food was absolutely scrumptious! Came in after a long morning, wanted something filling and savory for lunch with a drink to relax. The Playwright delivered! It was seat yourself, so no wait there. Got the Shepard pie which I first thought looked small but after chowing down realized it was just the right size. Also got a bittersweet symphony cocktail which I would recommend for the gin drinkers. Also this may be odd to say but the glassware stood out to me. I liked how the water glass was real glass instead of plastic and had texture! So pretty! Same for my cocktail glass!

When you step into the Playwright it’s not hard to imagine you are no longer in downtown Dallas but have been transported across the pond. Wonderful dining experience! Great pub feel and the food and drink did not disappoint! For starters we shared the Scotch eggs and stuffed avocados, both of which were packed full of flavor!! I then had the bangers and mashed potatoes, my wife had the Shepherds Pie and both of our entrees were very tasty!! Can’t wait to go back. Don’t forget dessert! We split the brown bread ice-cream! Delicious!
