Being Puerto Rican, when you read & hear great reviews you jump to try as there are not many authentic puerto rican food places around. The food in this place is NOT authentic:( my mom ordered roasted chicken, white rice with beans, the chicken had no flavor, beans were just blah, my daughter got the steak with onions,white rice & beans, steak was hard with dry ends, my sister got the pernil (STAPLE to Puerto ricans) it was shredded 🤔, rice with pigeon peas which had the same flavor as the steak & pernil 😕. I usually order take out in the years that they have been opened and the food as always been consistent! But yesterday 3/22/26 I dined in with a few of my friends and I’m glad they loved everything about it as me and my family have! The drinks were strong and delicious the food was on point as per usual the place is small but clean and beautifully decorated and the service is always great! can't wait to dine in again!

I ordered the mofongo with shrimp, and it was outstanding—rich flavors, perfectly cooked shrimp, and beautifully presented with authentic Boricua flavor. I’m personally committed to eating healthy and choosing quality ingredients, so I really appreciated when Chef Rafael Guzman highlighted that they prepare their own sauces and seasonings in-house. You can truly taste the freshness and authenticity in every bite. I also had the pleasure of eating and speaking with Chef Rafael, who was very welcoming and clearly passionate about his craft.
