I'm so glad to have this spot on E. 185th street. They have a great Mediterranean (i.e. Spanish, French, Moroccan) menu. Thr Paellas are excellent and loaded with seafood and are enough two. A few nights a week there is live music too. Particularly, I highly recommend this place for dates. Theyre open late, and the atmosphere is so pleasant. Also theyre menu is flexible so you can actually dine affordably.

Our dining experience at The Standard was TOP NOTCH ! Five stars, ALL the way! Host & Owner incredibly friendly, the decor warm, inviting, & feels exquisitely lush in the dining areas inside - though only walked through this gorgeous part of the restaurant. I got the double stuffed salmon with crab, lobster stuffing & scampi over the top, roasted potatoes & green beans - drenched with beschuemel sauce. It was dizzying-ly delicious! This was our second time dining at The Standard and it was just as amazing as the first! The food, drinks, and atmosphere are all fantastic. I had the eggplant rollatini and a lemon drop martini — both were delicious! We finished with the cheesecake, which honestly is the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for great food and a fun, welcoming vibe.
