The food is great; the service is wonderful. I had Chicken Saltembocca, which was so good that I plan to have it again when we visit in early January (see photo). Several other folks had the Eggplant Parm and raved about it. The menu prices are quite reasonable. It's a BYO restaurant, so don't forget to bring your favorite wine. Since the service is first class, too, Sal D's is an all-around great dining experience. We keep coming back because we love that Sal's, while it's now located in the suburbs, still retains the essence of a classic Chambersburg eatery. The food is still old school

New Year's Eve dinner, upon arrival the greeting was warm, friendly. Great table prepared for our party of 6! We felt so welcomed. Wonderful, warm and friendly waitress. One minor hiccup with one app that was handled beautifully. Our food was delicious and plentiful. Dessert was scrumptious. Very pretty restaurant. Looking forward to going back!
