This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in frederick. The food is amazing, the drinks are great and the outside seating and views of Carroll Creek are unmatched. It is such a nice place to go for an evening dinner and the staff are always friendly and prompt. I highly recommend the Pollo Chipotle if you enjoy spicy dishes.

I decided to try the tacos and, unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. I'm not sure if it was because I arrived close to closing time, but the food quality was far below my expectations. The meats were overcooked, dry, and tasted like leftovers that had been sitting for a while. The overall flavor was not enjoyable, and I ended up leaving most of the food untouched. I had much higher expectations based on the reviews and reputation of the place, but this visit did not live up to them. The only thing that saved the evening was the chips and salsa, which were actually quite good

Plaza Mexico was wonderful today. I was visiting Frederick, MD along with my team to learn about the City’s Main Street program. I stopped by to grab lunch to sit by the creek. The staff were great. They accommodated my requests and the food was fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant. I will be back when visiting the area. I especially enjoyed the street tacos made just the way I like them. Since leaving Florida it has been hard to find great Mexican food. The black beans and guacamole were very tasty too.
