We’re in town for Father’s Day weekend and had a taste for some good food. Little did we know that our hotel was less than 500 yards away from the Ernest’s Barbecue! When we saw ‘Mississippi Fried Catfish’ advertised on the front window, immediately we proceeded to march into the restaurant with great expectations! We were delighted that we got to enjoy soulful food and the hospitality was great, like the food! I had an absolutely fantastic time coming here for dinner tonight and totally understand now why this place has such high ratings. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between rustic charm and high energy. The whole place just had a great "neighborhood gem" feel to it. He walked us through the finer points of rib and brisket prep, answered a MILLION questions and fed us some simply amazing BBQ.
