We had the privilege of dining at City Post Chophouse for our anniversary dinner! I highly recommend making reservations in advance if you're planning to go for dinner on a Friday or Saturday evening! We booked several weeks out and even then, they only had availability after 8:15 pm. The hostess, server and staff were all very friendly. There was a pianist in the dining room, which played into the upscale feeling of the restaurant, but I will say it was extremely loud! We visited City Post for brunch to celebrate our friends’ 46th wedding anniversary, and everything was absolutely top notch. The food was outstanding—my lobster mac & cheese was loaded with lobster (not just a few pieces like you sometimes get), and the shaved prime rib was incredibly tender and flavorful. The Eggs Benedict were perfectly done, and every dish we tried was spot on. Cocktails were just as impressive—well balanced and beautifully made. And don’t skip dessert…the crème brûlée is a must! The restoration of the post office was executed so well to create an interesting, welcoming, cozy, special atmosphere that sets the mood perfectly. We had an amazing experience here! The food was absolutely excellent, and the service went above and beyond. From the drinks to the scallops and risotto, everything was outstanding—but I can’t say enough about the dry-aged ribeye. It was cooked perfectly, exactly to my liking. Apple pie is a must have. We came for a date night/anniversary, and it truly made the evening special. The atmosphere, attention to detail, and overall experience were top-notch.
