The Arvin Place, a hidden gem for authentic Mongolian food! Stopped by The Arvin Place and was genuinely impressed. Ordered the khuushuur (fried meat pies) and a traditional meat platter with boiled beef, potatoes, carrots, and a delicate dough wrap. Portions are generous, the meat is tender and flavorful, and the khuushuur came out golden with a thin, crispy shell, exactly how it should be. The broth on the side was a nice touch. You feel at home here eating outstanding Mongolian food. So good! You start off with Mongolian milk tea which is warming and refreshing. We had Tsuivan and Huushuur and both were delicious. The Huushuur (large fried dumpling) was juicy and oh so tasty, and the Tsuivan (a noodle dish) was amazing. I love that we have so many wonderful restaurants in Chicagoland. Mongolian food is so comforting, and this place is now on my list of favorite places.
