It’s been a while since I made it into Maison. I used to live around the corner and would stop in often for a late night cocktail at the lively bar up front with the always-friendly bartender. I came back tonight to enjoy dinner in the back dining area of the restaurant. We enjoyed a relaxed three courses starting with the frisée salad, fried oysters and escargot. I had the perfectly seasoned and prepared lamb burger for my main and my friend had the hangar steak. We finished it off with the crème brûlée and I had a glass of Sauternes dessert wine. All in, will definitely be back as I recall

We had a reservation for 8 pm. The restaurant agreed to 14 of us. We waited for a long time for our drinks. We placed our order for food by 8:30 pm, only because our waiter didn’t come back until then . our waiter never said it would be a long wait for our food. , it took 40 minutes for our 4 appetizers to come out. And after asking several times for our main courses , the waiter kept answering,” it’s coming “ , our food did not come out until 9:50 pm! Really enjoyed our meal at Maison Harlem. The fried oysters were crispy and flavorful, the ratatouille was fresh and comforting, and the croque monsieur was perfectly toasted with a rich, creamy béchamel, melted cheese, and savory ham. Attentive, teamwork-oriented service. Comfortable atmosphere for solo diners, couples and groups alike. House bread came warm and with softened butter, which was a pleasant surprise. Delicious flavors on my beautifully designed plate: grilled salmon (cooked to medium), ratatouille and (addl) side of mashed potatoes.
