Let me tell y'all about this BEAUTIFUL place! I had to celebrate Valentine's Day a week early with my honey, so we looked up places on TikTok and came across this Black-owned restaurant! When I tell you, they did NOT disappoint!! Whew! The staff was super friendly, and there was no wait time. I loved the jazz music playing softly in the background. I had read about the Blu Jazz Cafe on Facebook. Some of my friends had dined there and were singing its praises and when I read the comments, which were all very good, my wife and I decided to give it a try. Once entering the restaurant we were immediately greeted by a very friendly hostess and we were promptly seated. Our waitress was very kind and she took great care of us. We ordered the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer and they were great (sorry but I didn’t get a picture of them). This was my first time experiencing the Blu Jazz Cafe and it was superb. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff are very friendly. I had ordered the Mardi Gras Pasta. The flavors was delicious and it was not overly spicy. For my drink I had the blueberry lemonade. I felt like it could have used a little more sugar. My only recommendations are to have more mocktail options, for everyone may not want tea, soda or water and to have jazz music playing in the dining area to fit the theme of the restaurant. Overall my experience at the Blu Jazz Cafe was great.
