As a Georgian, I highly recommend Cheeseboat in New York! The food is so incredibly delicious that this restaurant would be a massive hit even in Georgia. Every Georgian living in NY simply must visit this place. However, the absolute highlight is the restaurateur and chef, Keti. She embodies true Georgian motherly warmth and welcomes you just like a Georgian mother would. It is simply the best place! I highly recommend it to all New Yorkers who want to experience authentic Georgian flavors and discover what true hospitality is all about.

Always down to try Georgian food, this time for a quick dinner. The khachapuri (cheeseboat) was average size but tasty. I would say it’s good enough for 2 people if you don’t eat much. The atmosphere is great, so it’s the decor. We were taken to our table really quickly and the server was very attentive. The Georgian soda pear flavor is definitely a must try at any Georgian restaurant.

Everything was beyond delicious at The Cheeseboat. After going for the first time for dinner, we went back again the following night before we left the city — that should tell you everything you need to know. The Khinkali soup dumplings were so fantastic the first night that we ordered 2 orders of them the following night for 3 people, which was more than enough. They were just that good. Their side of grilled vegetables was prepared so well that I ate about 3 plates of them by myself over the course of our two visits. Of course, we had to get the Traditional Cheeseboat both nights — I mean,

Everything we ordered was a hit! The Kartvelian salad is a great starter, and the Imeruli Khachapuri was everyone’s favorite. Khinkali is delicious. The staff really goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Definitely recommend going and trying their food!
