I found this place on a Google search and it was fat Tuesday, so I needed something other than King cake! This place came up with beignets!!!!! So I called and they just come in and pick them up... So I drove over make a order for a dozen beignets with powdered sugar on the side and starberry topping and Carmel bacon on the side as well as I needed it for a later in the evening party. What a hit!!! Everyone loved them!!! The have to be the BEST I have ever had!!! And the strawberry topping great, powered sugar great, but the Carmel bacon...OMG!!!! THE BEST!!! Junebug Café in Six Corners is a gem. It’s a small, cozy spot with a warm Louisiana vibe, and the atmosphere makes you want to linger. The beignets are the real deal — not the donut-style imposters you see at some Chicago restaurants. Anyone who actually knows what a proper beignet should be will appreciate how on point Junebug’s are: light, airy, and authentically prepared. I also tried the meat pie and the gumbo, and both were very good — flavorful, comforting, and clearly made with care. Between the food and the vibe, Junebug Café is absolutely worth checking out.
