stayed in nyc for 4 nights and got dinner here 3/4 — the food was that good. im also used to bad customer service = good food and good customer service = bad food, but here i received both. if your belly is big, be prepared for your bill to reflect it. 5/5 experience — toronto do better.

The jerk salmon was on point perfectly cooked, flavorful, and not dry at all. It had that real jerk kick with just the right amount of spice, and you could tell it was seasoned properly all the way through. Definitely one of the best jerk salmon dishes I’ve had from a buffet spot. The curry shrimp was just as good. The sauce was rich, savory, and full of flavor, and the shrimp were tender and well-seasoned. Not overcooked or bland like some places. You can tell the food is made with care, not rushed. For a 24-hour Jamaican buffet in Queens, this place really delivers. Great flavors, solid portions, and food that actually tastes fresh. I’ll definitely be back.

My husband & I stopped here for breakfast. They charge by the choice of meat you have in your meal. I had 2 boiled bananas, about 6 fried shrimp, & a scoop of ackee and saltfish. My meal tasted good but it was $16.49. My had a mix of different food that he said didn't taste of much seasoning. He had 2 boiled yam, 4 tiny pieces of oxtail, chili shrimp, 2 boiled bananas for $29.08! I do not recommend this place.

At 7pm on a Friday, I Dashed 2 salmon meals with 2 sides each & a drink ($68). They called to say the drink I ordered was sold out, so we agreed to a replacement. The food &drink arrived but it’s only 2 pieces of salmon. I complained & received a $8 refund- $2 per side I didn’t receive was the explanation. If you can call me to say the drink sold out, why couldn’t you also tell me that the sides I ordered were also sold out. I ended up cooking some rice and veggies to go with the salmon. I don’t know how a restaurant that is supposed to be open 24hrs runs out of sides at 7pm. Even after that we decided to give another chance the Saturday & walk-in. Its an unorganized buffet style restaurant. Most of the food was not labeled or mislabeled. The last straw with me was they put shrimp in the Mac n cheese and it wasn’t labeled. The cashier from the front passing by had to say Oh there’s shrimp in the Mac and I said oh TY! (My hubby is allergic and was definitely heading for it so I told him

Yah Suh Nyce - A True Taste of Jamaica Right by the Station If you're looking for authentic Jamaican flavors with convenience and variety, Yah Suh Nyce hits the spot. Conveniently located right across from Jamaica Station, it’s perfect for a quick stop whether you're on your commute or exploring the area. What really sets this place apart is the buffet sold by the pound concept. You get to pick exactly what you want from a wide range of classic Jamaican dishes—everything from jerk chicken, curry goat, oxtail, to flavorful rice & peas, steamed veggies, and more. The portions are generous, the flavors are on point, and you’re in control of how much you get, which is great for trying a little of everything. It’s casual, fast, and full of flavor—definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area and craving some solid Caribbean comfort food.

I discovered this place on Instagram through Pierre Porter and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. When I first walked in, I honestly questioned if I was in the right location because the place appeared dirty. I even asked the staff to confirm. The food is not made to order as advertised—instead, it’s set up buffet-style and seems to sit out all day where anyone can access it, which felt very unsanitary. When I raised concerns, I was told that customers are “supposed” to wear gloves when serving themselves, but I personally observed staff handling food after eating without washing their hands. That alone made me very uncomfortable. The food itself looked dried out, like it had been sitting for hours. It did not match what was promoted online at all. Meanwhile, it appeared that when Pierre Porter came he got freshly made food while customers were left with what had been sitting out. Pierre Porter from Instagram must be getting paid to hype

The menu is small. The food is ok, something that's easy to get in a pinch but nothing special to rave about. The service could use some work. I get it, if things are slow use your phone, but at least pause the conversation until I leave. I'll say that the pricing of the food isn't bad at all. Maybe I went too late in the day but there was only protein. The lamb chops tasted weird, but the jerk pork was fantastic 10/10 I recommend you try it. I believe in trying everything twice, maybe it was just an off day when I visited.

Hi Pierre Porter, Please don’t take offense to this, but I wanted to share some honest feedback. When you do food reviews, it would really help if you reviewed the same food and experience that regular customers receive. For example, your recent review with Yah Suh Nyce made me want to try the place, but my experience was completely different—and honestly a waste of money. The food you showed looked freshly made from the back, but when I went, everything was sitting out buffet-style all day. It felt very unsanitary, and anyone could walk up and touch the food. I’m just suggesting that in the future, it would be helpful to review the actual customer experience, not the special treatment that you may receive. Most of us won’t get that same experience. Just wanted to share that perspective.
