This place was fantastic. I took my sister out for her birthday and we enjoyed a fabulous pot of white tea from the cutest teacups, the Café was packed with people when we got there, and the parking situation was a bit rough, but the service was so friendly and welcoming, and the croissants and marmalade my sister and I ordered were the best I'd ever had. We still talk about those croissants weeks later, and we're very excited to come back.

I’ve been coming to Central Perc sporadically for about 20 years. It’s a neighborhood staple! It’s a casual “British Mom & Pop” establishment. You can come as plain or as dressy as you wish and you’ll fit right in. Do try some of their soups and other foods. I’ve “discovered” carrot and root soups which I would have thought would be unpleasant are now my favorites. Although, I must confess my attempts to make them at home have not been successful. My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast here today. The atmosphere is full of British charm, right down to the fresh flowers at every table. ​One of the biggest highlights for me was the acoustics. I am hearing impaired, and often restaurants are too loud for me to converse comfortably. However, even when the cafe was completely full, the noise level was perfectly managed, and we could speak at a normal volume. Stopped in as I was working down the street and asked about possible gluten free items. Imagine my surprise when the answer was lemon bars, spinach scones, blueberry scones and apple tarts! The spinach scone was absolutely amazing and I wish I lived closer as I would stop every day. I also ordered a chai latte that was freshly brewed and perfect! What a lovely lovely place with the friendliest owner!
