Always great food, kind and attentive staff, great seasonings for sale, and the entrees have a diverse flavor profile. The best part is that all of the food is locally sourced! And the owners are women! Coffee is terrific and has the good ice, you know what I mean. On my most recent visit I got the five mile breakfast (I started eating the sweet potato before taking the photo because the food is just so good) with my friend and a blueberry iced latte with an extra shot of espresso. Everything was amazing! The baristas and the person taking my order was so sweet. The person who took my order has glasses and pretty short brown hair. They were very sweet, accommodating, and very complimentary. The breakfast sandwich was so delicious! I loved the flavor of the herb Mayo with the greens, ham, and egg. The egg was a perfectly cooked runny sunny side up egg like I requested. The hot vanilla latte was made perfectly as well! It was creamy, sweet, and very comforting. My family stopped by Five Mile Eatery for brunch during a road trip, and we highly recommend it. If you have time in Lafayette, don’t miss this local gem! The Mystic Mocha was delightful—I only wish I had ordered a second one. The waffle was so good it didn’t even need butter or syrup; a little whipped cream paired perfectly with the fresh fruit. My first time here and I’m extremely impressed! If I had known about this place sooner they’d be running my bank account. If you’re looking for delicious, fresh, simple-ingredient meals, this is your place to go. You will certainly pay for it, but in my opinion it’s worth it!!! I got the Five Mile Breakfast Plate, it came with 1/2 a roasted sweet potato, a strawberry salad, & 2 eggs however you’d like them. Then I got an iced americano on the side. Everything was delicious!
