I have been a loyal regular at The Rusty Mug for years, but after my experience lately, I will not be returning. The biggest loss to this establishment is the departure of Melissa, the former bar manager. To be frank, she was the glue holding this place together. She ran the floor better than any of the current bartenders or servers, and she was the only one with the backbone to reign in the entitled regulars who often make the environment uncomfortable for others. Food was great! Service was great! I don’t normally order salads but needed some greens that day and it was bomb! My chicken did taste a little funny to me like it wasn’t cook all the way so they made a new batch without chicken ( I like my chicken over cook so probably why it taste funny). They were awesome for not charging me the salad! It definitely could’ve been me but hey if something doesn’t taste right always go with your gut! What’s even more great was that my husband actually likes the place! By the way, they have the BEST cole saw! I’m definitely not spelling it right! 🤣
