This is a great small shop that's known for its home made mochi of malt different varieties. My bro recommended it and did not disappoint... had the sampler, blueberry, chocolates, non filled rainbow and sampler. We got the day old non filled rainbow ones, and was still soft, squishy and yummy. The mochi was not too sweet, subtle sweetness. The chocolate was better than the blueberry. The prices was very reasonable, we got like 10 contains for around $60. We'll go back.

This is the oldest mochi spot in LA. So let’s see if they’re pretty good eh or ew. My grandma picked out their red bean mochi and I picked the blueberry one. The mochis had thick, chewy, soft skins but were also really sweet. The red bean one had a decent amount of red bean filling and flavor but the blueberry one just tasted like super artificial blueberry gummies…and not in a good way. This place eugh. Lowkey a tourist trap Blueberry mochi $2.25 Red bean $2

This is a must visit shop when visiting Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. Located across the street from Tokyo Village, this stand alone family business has been selling their mochi and manju since 1903. Master Manju maker, Brian Kito is the third generation carrying on this exquisite Japanese product line. Their store offers a wonderful selection of handmade mochi and manju. I highly recommend their Strawberry mochi, which is absolutely delicious!

Saw a video on YouTube about this store two years ago. I think it is run by 3 or 4th generation. Truly amazing. Mochi and Manchu are super chewy, not sweet and still good on second day. It is culinary, cultural experience to come to the store, Japan traditional with LA’s rugged touch
