Hidden Tex-Mex Gem with a Twist (Literally!) Josie's is a delightful culinary gem in Lubbock that elevates traditional Mexican-American cuisine. I swung through the drive-thru for my first visit and the crispy beef taco plate (served with rice and beans) was delicious—exactly what you want from authentic Tex-Mex. Pro-Tips for First-Timers: The Layout: Located at Ave Q & 34th, this is a "no dine-in" spot. There is a walk-up window and a drive-thru, but the parking lot is small. The Process: It’s a bit unique! You order at one window, then drive around to the other side of the building to

It's hard to give an honest and appropriate rating, how good and how accurate the food is varies greatly from day to day and from whoever seems to be working what shift. They changed their chorizo. I ordered egg and chorizo burrito, and it tastes like egg. It’s debatable the chorizo tastes like regular sausage. Even after they remade it, it still tastes like egg only with a hint of regular sausage. They say it’s in the burrito, and the new chorizo is cheaper with less flavor. They are still charging $5-$6 per burrito though. It’s just not worth it anymore. Why even sell Chorizo if it’s not gonna be the real thing. Thanks and have a good day.

I have never had a complaint about Josies but today my 12$ Fajita steak quesadilla barely had 5 small pieces of steak and the queso was not up to par, and the chips tasted stale. I guess ill stick with burritos for now on, nothing beats their burritos!
