After hearing so much about this place, just dined here with the highest expectations. The place is very cozy but also high end and lovely. The service was good but had to remind a few times when asking for condiments. I tried the oysters and while cooked perfectly they were not as tasteful; I thought they lacked seasoning and were too sweet and cinnamony. I asked for medium cooked rib eye and got mine way over cooked and under seasoned; I’m sorry but for a steakhouse that’s kinda unacceptable. On the positive side, all the sides I tried were very tasty: Mac and cheese, ceaser salad, broccoli

I'm pretty angry with myself that I didn't heed the negative reviews and still booked a birthday dinner for my partner here. FOOD - I'll start with the food. The woefully bland, under-seasoned food. I grew up in the midwest, land of mediocre restaurants, land of bland, and I have a really high tolerance for bland. I mean, I could eat plain crackers as a meal. But The Arthur J's really put up some competition to those midwest dining non-destinations. My partner started with oysters, which she loved. This was her favorite part of the meal. Then we got an order of popovers and the waldorf salad.

Everything we ordered was incredibly delicious, except for the Alaska dessert. It was beautifully presented, but unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy the taste. Not my favorite dessert. I highly recommend the restaurant overall!

Probably the best steak I ever have! In LA for a 4 nights for business. Really wanted a steak on the last night and Arthur J didn’t disappoint! The bar area was very loud but the dining area was not too bad. Food: The bone marrow was ok, a bit too salty. The steak was just fantastic! Juicy and tasty! And Nicki, my host was great! Very helpful!
