There are not too many fine dining options in Midland/Odessa. I did hear that Opal’s Table is one of the better ones and also consistent. I will say that I was pretty impressed with the food and especially the service but there were still some things that kept me from giving it a perfect score. First off, the service was impeccable. When I walked in, I was greeted right away and sat promptly. My customers that I was taking out arrived a bit later because I was early but I was still provided with water and not bothered. Great place in downtown Midland. Food was really good. Between our group, we tried quite a few different dishes. Truffle Fries and Crispy Brussels were a hit for appetizers. I personally had the Trout which were good. They're allegedly famous for their Chicken Fried Steak. Got to have a bite of it and it was probably the best I've ever had. Service started out great but suffered as the dinner progressed and the restaurant filled up. Specialty cocktails were good but overpriced. We ate downstairs in the basement which was neat. However, it's extremely loud and we were practically yelling

We had a reservation downstairs which had an amazing vibe to it. The music was calm and the service was 5/5 everything was brought in a timely manner. Salads were before the entire thank gosh because no one ever gets that correct.
