We walked in at 4:27 on a Saturday afternoon. All of the chairs were up on the table and customers were sitting in a booth eating still. We went to order, the girl taking our order told us it was absolutely ok to order as they don’t close until 5. Someone then came from the back once they seen us and told us we had to get our food to go. If you close as 5, close at 5. Start cleaning and putting chairs up at 5 when you close. Not 35 minutes before hand.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Moline, IL. The owner is cordial, a fine gentleman, and loves to have indulgent conversations with his customers. Love the Gyros here. Reminds me of the gyros from the streets of Athens. Very authentic taste for sure. The traditional mom-and-pop restaurant that you'd love for sure !!

Wait a sec. How is it I've been at Pete's for thirty years and not written this review yet? Shame on me. Pete's is the best, and a local landmark. Plus their location is close to Whitey's, though after you have Pete's Baklava, you probably won't want Ice Cream. Seriously. A super Gyro Basket with fries at Pete's, and I'm in my happy place where everything going on just goes away for a while.
