I recently stopped by and ordered a Cortado with the Brown Sugar syrup. The atmosphere was friendly and the service was fast. My coffee was really good and I plan on adding them to my list of go to coffee places in Mt P.

Staff was rude and literally turned away while I was mid sentence to speak to her colleague and then acted as if I hadn’t said anything. Then she did it again. Wouldn’t have cared if the coffee was good, but the latte was a huge cup of scalded milk with only a faint hint of coffee taste. Food was ok, but nothing special. Also, loud club music at 8 am is not my thing.

Second State Coffee is one of my go-to spots. I stop in for tea almost every week and occasionally grab food. They’re one of the few coffee shops that offer loose leaf tea prepared correctly, which I really appreciate. The pastries and breakfast items are also consistently very good.
