Julia Franchko★★★★★I ordered a few specialty rolls and a few regular rolls online. Everything was fresh and delicious, with generous pieces of fish in every roll. I chose pickup, and my order was ready in about 30 minutes. I was very happy with the quality and will definitely order again and visit the place in future!
Chris Szeto★★★★★Everything was 5 stars for me. The food was just as visually appealing as it was good. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. My wife loves the spicy scallops maki.
Paul Nakazawa★★★★My spouse and I have been coming to Yama for over 20 years, and we have always enjoyed meals together, with family and with friends. The meals are well prepared and attractively plated. Service is personable and excellent even when they are busy. [As an observation more than criticism, Asian restaurants in general have had to struggle obtaining and affording top quality rice of all sorts, from Japanese-grown short grain to premium Indian basmati. Andrew Mendelson★★★It has a nice location on the 2nd floor above Washington Street, and feels very Japanese. The menu has more sushi variety and is less Chinese than Jin’s, its closest competitor. The rolls are fun and interesting. Unfortunately, the fish is not great. The soft shell crab always has an off flavor. The last time I had takeout, the yellowtail was off, too. And the salmon in the sake don was poorly cut, almost sinewed. Tama (Natick), Laughing Monk, or Katara are better, though each is a bit more expensive than Yama.
