I moved to Florida from Colorado Springs, where authentic Mexican food is everywhere, and ever since relocating, I’ve struggled to find anything that even comes close. Most places around here lean heavily toward Tex-Mex, which just isn’t the same if you know, you know. That’s why I was so excited to discover El Sombrero Mexican Grill. This place is hands down the best Mexican food I’ve had since moving here. The flavors are authentic, rich, and clearly made with care, it actually reminds me of the kind of food I used to enjoy back in Colorado. And I have to mention the horchata…it is AMAZING

I ordered carne asada. The steak did not taste like real steak. Tasted greasy and rubbery. I got sour cream which was an upcharge of 75 cents. It tasted spoiled. Like sour cream is supposed to be creamy. Not chunky. And taste weird. I asked for a spoon. Which I now regret. The spoon had a chip in it and cut my lip and made me bleed. The server was nice and did her best. But when I asked for the spoon she took about 15 minutes. And then I asked someone else who decided to check on the table. I guess the hostess? It was weird. Taco Craving = Satisfied! Ordered 8 tacos (al pastor, chicken, and carne asada) over the phone and by the time I pulled up 15–20 minutes later, they were hot and ready. The flavor? On point. Juicy, seasoned just right, and packed with love. They even hooked it up with green and red sauces plus fresh limes in the bag! The host brought my food out with a big smile and great vibes. Highly recommend if you're craving tacos done right.
