Over the past several months, I have found myself returning to Daisy’s again and again. Sometimes with friends. Sometimes after an evening at Good Judy’s. Sometimes simply by myself with a book, a notebook and a cup of coffee. What keeps bringing me back is not merely the food, though the menu is expansive, the portions generous and the ingredients consistently fresh. It is the atmosphere. **1/5 stars** Avoid Daisy’s Diner in Brooklyn at all costs. The service was absolutely horrible—waited over 45 minutes just to place an order, and another 30 for cold food to finally arrive. The booths are ridiculously small; I’m average-sized and could barely squeeze in without bumping elbows with strangers. The food was a total letdown. Ordered a gyro wrap and specifically asked for feta inside—they brought it on the side in a sad little cup, completely ruining the dish. Tasted bland and greasy anyway. An absolutely terrible, regrettable choice to try to eat here. I’ve been here before and it was good, so I’m not sure if they changed management or just an off day. But tbh it was so bad this time I’m never coming back. The food was revolting and inedible. The deviled eggs were just chopped egg and mayo dumped on a plate. The mexi wrap was missing half the menu ingredients, but when I told the waiter it looked wrong all he did was to tell me it was correct and walked off.
