The band was great. The food was not so good. The pesto sandwich looked nothing like the picture. It was pictured on a specialty bread and was thick, and loaded. What we got was a dry partial chicken breast with slight amount of mayo-pesto on dry white bread. Lines to get a beer were very long and only 1 bartender. They would make a lot more money with more bar staff and a better menu that did not misrepresent the food.

Always a great time at The Block in Petaluma! Open air courtyard bar and beer garden with a few eating options. My girlfriend and I have taken the Train from Santa Rosa the last three years for Saint Patrick's Day celebration to hear the best local Irish band, The Gentlemen Soldiers!

The block is a very cool food park / tap Room with a spacious open garden vibe. The bar has a good selection of~twenty beers (a few of which aren't even IPAs - luxury)as well as a cocktail menu and selection of soft drinks. There are 2-3 food trucks here depending on day/time/mood of the operators. They're all pretty good but by far the best (the Greek) is also the last likely to be available frustratingly. The space is dog friendly and an excellent space to meet up with friends and kick back.
