My husband and I had the best time at this cute little gem in Prescott. It was highly recommended from a good friend. The food was FANTASTIC!! The service was also FANTASTIC!! We had fried green tomatoes, lamb kebobs, Santa Fe shrimp, the crab cakes and of course the Barry’s classic margaritas. We will be back for sure. Without being able to taste everything, I can tell that El Gato Azul focuses their menu on authentic and intricate flavors. In my experience, it's difficult to have an extensive menu and also have a consitent quality of food. I'm not sure if I went on an off day, but every single meat-related dish we were served was very over cooked. As in, very dry and difficult to enjoy. Using the beef and blue street tacos as one example, if the meat wasn't overcooked, I could see myself enjoying the dish. It also had a lot of pickled red onions, which wasn't bad, but it overpowered every other flavor. I

We were looking for a quick chips and salsa snack, we stopped in El Gato Azul! I wish we were having a meal. There was a lot of dishes I would have loved to try. The salsa portion was generous. The plate was light on chips but the server happily brought us plenty to finish the tasty salsa! We enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere.

My fellow reviewers failed me on this restaurant! We came with high hope and excited to taste good food based on all the great reviews! OMG, I was completely flabbergasted when I tasted the escargot.. It was so salty I almost spitted it out! More so, they put the bread inside the escargot so the bread became a soggy, salted mess! - then came the lamb kebob, this plate was actually under-salted .. it was bland and overwhelmingly BAD! - the waitress then recommended the grilled Santa Fe shrimps which was ok, the shrimps were big and meaty but it was overcooked to the dry side! - By now, I becam
