apparently, (Starbucks) has a policy change as of a few months ago at least that’s what the employee at this particular Starbucks told me. Apparently, they are no longer giving out water or at least you can’t just ask for water even when you’re a loyal customer even when you buy coffee every morning from them if you need to come in and grab some water during the hot days or you need to go through the drive-through and grab some water during the hot days. 8:30 on May 22, 2026. Doors are locked, drive through full of cars. No sign on door. Totally closed. Customers walking up to locked doors. Cars eventually leaving drive through after nobody answers. This coffee shop is a fixture of so many people’s morning routine, even a fixture of the community. So sad and low class to see it randomly closed with not even a paper note taped to the door (not that that would be much better.) It would be okay if this were a little souvenir stand, on a sleepy beach. But this is a Starbucks in Atlanta at the start of a busy day. Do better.

I wish there were a way to give this store and staff zero stars. I absolutely love Starbucks, but this experience was unacceptable. I ordered a hot chocolate and was initially told they were out of mocha, then later told they actually had some. The drink I received had virtually no chocolate. I brought it back (which I rarely do) and asked for a remake. Instead of discarding the original drink, they asked me to throw it away myself. The second drink was even worse than the first.
