Finally got around to trying the Chicago style grill this past early January and was rather uneventful. I love trying different Chicago style grills which many turn out to be pretty close when it comes to the taste of the food but BIG Jack's compared to other competitors to date lands at the very bottom. Typically when I try a Chicago style grill for the very first time, I always go for a gyros if it's on the menu but the one I had tasted rather bland like it was microwaved which is how my wife described it after snagging a piece. Pretty decent for hot dogs, hamburgers, etc. There is some outdoor seating, but the location is at the corner of 2 main roads, so be aware of the noise level if you choose to sit outside (not an issue with the establishment; just fyi).

So i used to go thr place weekly for a decade. Maybe a small exaggeration but every week i lived in lake county I would stop here. Used to be best hot dog in town. They changed the buns and it totally alters the taste and mouth feel of the hot dog. The buns sweet and hard. It should be nore neutral and softer. Genuienly ruined the experience please change it back I only wrote this review because i was going to go in yesterday, and I stopped because of it

This is such a laid-back fresh hot dog stand... Great service great food.. lots of memorabilia to "relish" at so to speak
