Velvet Taco came highly recommended from a family member living in Austin. What a great fast casual restaurant to go! The menu offers a variety of taco choices, bowls, and vegetarian options. I picked the 2 taco combination plate (Hatch Chile Pork taco and Tikka Chicken taco) with a side (I ordered coconut curry queso). A fountain drink comes with the combination plate, but i upgraded to a frozen margarita with tajin rim. As a bartender, they make margaritas the right way, no short cuts. Amazing, but warning that 1 was enough for me. I am a lightweight! LOL!

Let me start this off by saying, I love their tacos! I've never had an issue, until now. I ordered a taco without the sauce, but the sauce is on my taco. I knew I wouldn't like the sauce, hence why I asked for it not to be on my taco but instead it's on both tacos. 😩

I was wonderfully surprised how good the food was. I absolutely loved the Korean Fried rice (pulled pork) 5 out of 5, but the grilled steak and portobello mushroom managed to be even better. I tasted my wife's blackened shrimp and will definitely try that next time. Loved, loved loved the food!

So far I only had the Bacon Smash Burger Employees very helpful and friendly and the there service is like you are inside and I do not want long at all when I order from the drive through 5 minutes tops maybe 😀 🙃 😅
