The Main House was a most fabulous “woops”. My boyfriend and I were trying to make reservations at a different restaurant in which we had recently dined and enjoyed but we couldn’t remember the name. So we searched for outdoor dining in St. Charles. We thought this was it and made a reservation. As we were walking to our intended destination we passed The Main House and thought “oh, this looks good” and quickly realized our mistake. The best meal and staff I’ve had in a long time. It could not have been better. Hallie was the best host for me at her bar and could not have been nicer and more gracious. Also appreciate Clayton for his recommendations on food, wine as well as bourbon choices. On point on all. This pic is of the blackberry cream cheese app with hot fresh pita bread. Goodness gracious. But also try a steak. The chef’s seasoning medley is one of the best I’ve ever had.

Went here for the first time and honestly had the best restaurant experience I’ve had in a long time. The food? Amazing. The service? Impeccable. Our server Kaylee was so impressive she was so knowledgeable about the menu, she was so friendly, SO funny and attentive. (The food is a bit pricey) but WORTH it. I finished my entire plate and would have licked it clean if that wasn’t socially unacceptable. Oh and the espresso martini is the best I’ve ever had.

Even though we didn't see any ghosts, we had a great dinner. Our server, Emily, was so kind (was she a ghost??? Lol). We celebrated two birthdays and got free cake! I had the burrata salad and I will be dreaming about that salad. The risotto with grilled chicken was a good choice. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting St. Charles.
