Has the typical French comfort food. Delicious French onion soup and the mussels. The escargoes are of a small size and do not come with bread to dip the sauce. The truffle fries and the brussels sprouts are both good, though not something to come back for. Next time we probably would order a pot of mussels and order either a pasta or bread to go with the sauce. The $5 apricot chardonnay is a steal for a dessert. Its location near SF performing arts make it a great place for an early dinner for those catching a performance. It may need a wait during the busy dinner time.

The weather was beautiful, so we sat out on the patio. Perfect atmosphere. Every dish was delicious. The only miss for me was the baguette and butter. The ratio felt off and the bread itself was a bit plain. I had the half roasted chicken, which was cooked perfectly. The French onion soup ? 10/10. No notes. I also tried a bit of the sole, which was excellent. The salted caramel almond gelato also great. Last but not least, our server Garen went above and beyond. Super attentive and seems genuinely cool. If I had a restaurant, I’d hire him on the spot!!

Everything here is great. The Chez Maman burger is amazing. It comes on a ciabatta bun which is interesting, but holds the meat juices well. The lettuce, tomato and caramelized onions come separately but its a nice accommodation for people who don’t want all the ingredients. I subbed the fries with the burger with their truffle fries, and the truffle fries are truly addictive. They have a real intense truffle flavor to them and are nice and small so they have a great crispiness! The garlic sauce it came with was also very addictive.
