John McGhee★★★★★We are outside and it was great to have the sun and a breeze while eating well seasoned food. My steak was the 4oz and so glad I got that size because portions are actually large. Paired it will a Cesar salad that included actual anchovies. Nice touch! My wife had the grilled shrimp in an amazing sauce. We both used the fresh baked bread to soak it up!
Gus Fajardo★★★★★Spanish tapas at the Plaza. Our friend (local) suggested La Boca for dinner on our last night visiting, boy, were we impressed! Delicious cocktails and tasty plates, we ordered and way too much. Tonight’s stand outs were the Gambas al Ajillo, NM Flat Iron Steak with the caramel sauce, and the Albondigas. I recommend the Spanish favorite cocktails, Mediterranean Gin & Tonic and either of the Sangrias. Restaurant vibe is busy and entertainment scheduled almost every day. Highly recommend.
Ivy Hope★★★I found La Boca to be a rather average experience overall. Despite the hype, I wasn't particularly impressed by their wine curation—the selection felt a bit lacking and didn't offer anything truly standout. The cheese platter was similarly mediocre and lacked the rich, distinct flavors you'd expect from a dedicated tapas spot. Honestly, the only thing that felt genuinely authentic compared to a traditional tavern in Spain was how cramped and crowded the seating was. It’s okay for a casual bite, but don't expect an extraordinary culinary journey.
Hu Shawn★★The service and environment was very good. But the food was not that good. Bruschetta was amazing and the only one worth it that night. I loved dipping the black truffle sauce with bread. Maybe because the cooking was inconsistent, Gambas sl ajillo was too salty and completely inedible. Besides Paella was terrible too. The rice was cooked before. The chicken was too much. And the vegetables, seafood and rice are cooked separately and don't mix together at all.
