Meh… has potential, home cook instead of professional cook quality food & seasoning. Soft scrambled eggs were overcooked, no seasoning. Potatoes had nice texture, lacked seasoning. House made Italian bread was lovely. Sausage & biscuits… watery, lacked salt, no nutmeg, made with Italian sausage not breakfast.

Stopped in after picking my boyfriend up at the train 🚂 station a few miles away. We were both starving! I don’t remember what exactly we had but it was fantastic!!!! I had some kind of breakfast sandwich on their Italian bread that was absolutely to die for. Like something I would make for myself at home! He had a plate with hash browns, eggs and a proper Italian sausage patty (not a shriveled up little disk!) and eggs. I recently visited Peter Pause, and the first word that comes to mind is cozy 🥰 It's a small, inviting spot with just 2-3 people running the kitchen. I think it might be my new favorite breakfast place in the area, and I can't believe they've been family-operated since 1958! I had their grilled pumpkin muffin (YUMMMMMM), pumpkin coffee, and the SPP sandwich -- sausage patty with provolone and peppers with Mac n' cheese on the side. That sandwich was so juicy and thick! My boyfriend ordered the Meat Lovers Omelette and corned beef hash on the side, which was fantastic. I can't wait to return

Oreo pancakes were great, I was worried the Oreo would be overpowering but it was a good balance. The bacon was the best I've had in the area. Corned beef is my favorite in Schenectady so far. I got delivery so the eggs ended up being a bit overdone.
