delia koren★★★84 Yesler presents itself as a chef-driven restaurant, but our experience was a bit mixed. The menu is extremely limited. Their website mentions a tasting menu, but it was never offered to us (perhaps they no longer serve it). If you're vegetarian, and especially if you're vegan, your options are very limited. We visited on a Saturday evening and there were only three other occupied tables, so the atmosphere felt a bit flat. It's hard to enjoy a restaurant that feels almost empty on a weekend night. Every dish was presented beautifully, and we loved being able to see into the open kitchen. The standout of the night was the mussels — absolutely outstanding. Between the warm staff, great ambiance, and convenient location, it was a wonderful dinner all around.

Swell staff go the extra 2 miles. Personable and charming. Had the laminated pasta with lemon cream sauce. Mmmm. Enjoyed a flight of wines. And their tremendous foie gras with fluff cloud. Finished with the apple cake. Great end to a fun evening downtown!
