Our wood fire pizza oven has been burning here at Il Ritrovo in Sheboygan since 2000 when we became the 5th Certified Vera Pizza Napoletana member in the United States. We are open for lunch and dinner, and have a coffee, cocktail, and wine bar open 8am to close.

Fun in the sun★★★★★It truly felt like stepping into an Italian restaurant. This classy, old timey eatery had me satisfied, wanting more and captivated at the presence, flavor and all around vibe… thanks to the folks 3 sheep’s brewing across the way for the recommendation. This was another reminder why I always ask the locals for the best eating tips.

We shared the Fonduta al Forno to start—definitely get this if you like melted cheese and prosciutto! We also made our way through three pizzas: the Margherita, the Boscaiola (the best mushroom pizza I’ve had), and a classic Salame. The crust is perfect and the ingredients are clearly high quality. We’ll definitely be back for a third visit soon!

My silverware was taken with my appetizer plate, and it took about 10 minutes to get new utensils, which meant my meal
