Decent hangout spot. Very comfortable place to sit and watch games or eat a meal. I ordered the Houlihan's burger with jalapeños and guacamole. Burger was pretty good. Jalapeños were actually pretty spicy which was nice. The meat quality was decent. Not a bad place to stop and have a beer and food. The french fries were actually really good. They are a thick cut extra crispy french fry that tastes like it was cooked in tallow which is always a plus. Houlihan's Burger: 7/10 Fries: 9/10 Overall: 8/10

We went on a Friday afternoon during happy hour, and it was fantastic! Sat in the bar area, and we’re waited on by Debbie, who bartends and waitresses like it’s a lost art. She is old-school, and knows how to take care of her customers. Servers like her are few and far between in this day and age! Our drinks were great, the food was delicious, and the service was top-notch! The GM even came to check on us, which was a nice touch. My only complaint, and this isn’t something reflective of the local restaurant, is that I wish Houlihane would offer better happy hour specials. $1 off draws and $1

I loved Houlihan's in the late 1990's when there were some in St. Louis area. One of my favorites was the baked potato soup. So when I saw a Houlihan's in Springfield today I was excited to try it again. I was disappointed. It was more of a watery cream soup than potato soup. I had about 6 small pieces of potato in my large to go container. For a watery cream flavored soup with shredded cheese and bacon it is good. But as a potato soup, it's disappointing. Either way, it wasn't worth $6.99. The host that took my order over the phone today was great.
