Phenomenal. Best southern food I’ve had since living in Washington. Coming from the South, this reminds me of my Memaws cooking. The fried chicken was perfectly seasoned, crispy, and juicy. Sides were great. Excellent customer service….and….maybe my favorite of all, old school r&b music. I’m kinda mad at myself for just finding this place after 5 years of being here, it certainly won’t be the last. Freaking love this place! Thank y’all!

The food was good, but the service really won me over! We ventured in here on a Saturday evening. It was just us and a larger party of about 7 in the restaurant. We shared the 6th Ave dinner entree: fried chicken, catfish, greens, mac n cheese, jalapeño hush puppy and corn cake appetizer Chicken was good, catfish was GREAT, greens were good - reminded me of my grandmas greens, mac and cheese was too gooey/stringy but not bad, hush puppy was okay and the corn cake was really good! We had heard about their fried chicken and it didn’t disappoint. Everything was delicious. Portions are generous- we each ordered two pieces with two sides and took a lot home. They use very good quality chicken and do a great job on cooking it. The orders came with a delicious corn cake. The service was great, everyone very personable. The place is very welcoming. Breakfast also looks outstanding.
