Kinfolks has been a Taunton staple for awhile. I’ve heard that it’s the best in barbecue in the area. I finally got the chance to test out the BBQ myself — it did not disappoint. Everything was stellar! The brisket, fried chicken, ribs, pulled pork, mac and cheese, hush puppies, and cornbread were spectacular. I’m not being hyperbolic. It really is that good. When you walk in the restaurant you can tell the food is made with passion. It’s modest and comforting. There aren’t too many frills because they let all the food do the talking. They are FIVE TIME award winning pit masters for a reason.

This was such a delightful and refreshing experience. A mom-and-pop spot with a warm Southern feel right here in MA. Real ingredients, 4 pieces of fried HARD chicken like I had growing up, 2 sides of your choice, and a sweet slice of cornbread for $10 — I PROMISE you can’t beat it. Not to mention, they are so nice and hospitable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and I WILL BE GOING BACK.

Don't let the look of the place fool you. This is some seriously good eats. Beef and pork were both above average . The ribs however were the best I've had to date. Also had the hush puppies and collared greens. Hush puppies were again standard. Collared greens had an odd taste like they were sweetened with molasses. While not terrible they were not how I like them cooked. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. You can tell by the amount of orders they crank out that this place is popular. Going on my list. Finally pushed Copper Top BBQ ribs out of top spot.
