Yesterday We had the most amazing day Downtown Temecula California! It was like stepping back into times of the old west. We chose 1909 Restaurant/Tavern Bar to have lunch because of its unique location and proximity on Front Street. It is a giant Barn like establishment with lots of flare and great music, and a very remarkable bar staff with great skills and any cocktail you can imagine and more. My husband and I went to 1909 Temecula for the first time today, and it was such a delightful and charming experience. We ordered the Korean fried chicken as a starter and were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of crispy and perfectly seasoned chicken. My husband ordered the bacon burger with tallow fries, and he loved both! (I can confirm the tallow fries were sooo umami and crunchy.) Had dinner at 1909 tonight and it absolutely delivered. The food was outstanding across the board. The lobster was fresh and flavorful, the tacos were excellent, and the burger was cooked perfectly with great presentation and quality ingredients. Dinner for party of 8 was easily seated. Everyone had a very different selection from lobster to chili and salad to steak. All meals have good-sized portions and served hot, on a chilly evening. The Steak Frittes with Talo fries were good and we split them with an additional Sweet potato and beets salad. Cooked medium made them moist and flavorful. We were seated outside on a Friday night, so we had a good view of the Cruisers in their vintage cars driving by. The heat lamps were on after sunset, so it was manageable but there was a cool wind factor keeping things chilly. The service was great
