I left their very angry this morning because of the landscaping man and his industrial strength blower blowing dust onto my freshly detailed car, which I had just picked up before I came there. That was bad enough, but then, that blower was so loud, you couldn't hear yourself think, especially when it's going back and forth right outside the window you're sitting next to. I won't be back. I complained to the waitress, but it did no good. I got nothing off my bill, so I paid it and I still left her a tip because it wasn't her fault.

Outstanding food my mom and niece stopped in for breakfast but the strawberries were out of season and frozen not fresh like I was expecting. I always like the strawberry waffles with whip cream and maple syrup! The skillets are good too! My dad used to get the huge German Pancakes everytime. He was a Deacon at the St John's Lutheran church in the 90's and we would stop in after church every Sunday. I asked if I could stay with him for a week and ended up being 2 years. We go for breakfast before 9 a.m. to avoid a line or wait time. Food is prepared quickly and arrives hot. Some servers are friendly and able to individualize and check back often. Other servers are gruff: setting silverware, drinks, plates of food, etc. at the closest table edge to them and then turning and walking away rather than "serving" us by giving each person their individual items. Today we had a fantastic server!!!

I've only been to Elmer's twice in my 20 years in Portland. Both times I was not impressed...this time my pancakes, eggs and sausage was delicious and the service was excellent.
